The Truth About Growth No One Talks About

Hi friends,
The last few months have been… a lot.
If it feels like this year started at full speed with no warm-up, you’re not alone. We closed out 2025 with a wave of sickness in my family (strep, flu, stomach bug—we hit the trifecta 😅) and somehow carried that straight into the new year.
At the same time, January wrapped with our very first in-person 2-day workshop, followed by a few exciting new additions to the team. Growth has been happening quickly—and honestly, it’s been a reminder for me to slow down inside even when things are moving fast on the outside.
I want to share this with you because you’re not just on my email list—you’re in this work with me.
I’ve always been someone who takes on a lot. Part of that is passion—I genuinely love what I do. And part of it is an old pattern that, if I’m not paying attention, leads straight to burnout.
So yes, this year started with some burnout right alongside some really exciting momentum.
And that’s exactly why I care so deeply about the work we’re doing together.
When I was about two years into owning my aesthetic studio, everything looked successful from the outside. My schedule was full. People praised the growth. But behind the scenes, I was barely making payroll and struggling to reorder inventory I had already sold out of.
Cash-flow strain hidden behind busyness is one of the most dangerous places a business owner can be—and I never want any of you to experience that alone.
My health, clarity, and sanity are non-negotiables now. And I know many of you are carrying similar pressure—on your teams, your families, and yourselves.
If you’re in a challenging season, please hear this: you cannot lead well on empty. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s strategic. When you lead yourself well, your business follows.
